Springboard Performing Arts was formed in 2011 by our owner, and founder, Stephen. 

Stephen has a huge passion for theatre, and performing arts, and moreso during his childhood, performed regularly. Stephen realised that there was a void...that needed filling! He realised that when leaving a children's theatre school, there is little for those maybe want to continue the arts, for either education or enrichment, unless you wish to attend a full-time theatre school.

With this in mind, Springboard was born!

Initially starting with Springboard Dance in 2011, and later adding Springboard Drama in 2014. During this period, there were periods of ad-hoc sessions, due to Stephen starting his family, and choosing where to call home. Springboard relaunched in 2018 with Damce and Drama classes. When the Covid pandemmic hit in 2020 - classes were stopped, due to restrictions and Springboard didn't reopen until January 2025 - with the launch of Springboard Productions.
